PENDENNIS
CASTLE. Pendennis Castle has defended the anchorage of the Carrick Roads
for over 450 years. Today you re-visit the castle's history from Tudor
times to the re-fortification in both world wars. Along with a museum
and discovery centre are displays of coastal defence armament and access
to the former secret installations.

Heligan,
seat of the Tremayne family for more than 400 years, is one of the most
mysterious estates in England. At the end of the nineteenth century
its thousand acres were at their zenith, but only a few years later
bramble and ivy were already drawing a green veil over this “Sleeping
Beauty”. After decades of neglect, the devastating hurricane 1990
should have consigned the Lost Gardens of Heligan to a footnote in history
but instead.......well why not find out!

The National Seal Sanctuary, set in the picturesque Helford Estuary,

with over 60 Giant Satellite dishes it is the Largest and Oldest Satellite

Falmouth
Harbour, including the Carrick Roads, is reputed to be the third largest
natural harbour in the world. Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are a statutory
port authority with responsibility for the Inner Harbour at Falmouth
(excluding Falmouth Docks), the Penryn River up as far as Boyers Cellars,
the southern part of the Carrick Roads and a large part of Falmouth
Bay. As well as providing regulation of its Harbour Area the Commissioners
provide small craft facilities for residents and visitors.

Be dazzled by the Isles of Scilly (from Latin for ‘Sun Isles’),
which have captivated visitors for centuries. Rising out of the Atlantic
28 miles off Land’s End. This archipelago of over 100 islands
(only five are inhabited) is bathed by the Gulf Stream, famed for its
white sand beaches, translucent waters and ‘sub-tropical’
vegetation. You’ll find it seriously hard to believe you’re
still in the UK.
